Trailer for upcoming Korean film "The Merciless"

Jae-Ho is a prisoner. He wields the most power among the inmates and makes rules for the inmates. Jae-Ho is also the #2 guy in a criminal gang outside of prison. He is ambitious enough to go after the #1 spot upon his release. One day, Jae-Ho meets new prisoner Hyun-Soo. Hyun-Soo doesn’t follow the rules of the prison and he doesn’t submit to anyone.

Director Byun Sung-Hyun's filmography consists of two films, a romantic comedy and a relatively unknown musical drama. However, the trailer of his new film looks very promising, thus i'm very excited that the film can compete with the rest of good Korean crime thrillers which objectively have already set high standards regarding the genre. It's also very encouraging that we get the experienced actor Sol Kyung-Gu and the famous popstar Siwan in the leading roles.
